This work is inspired by the search of essential intimate spaces that every living organism needs throughout its existence; such as the cocoon to the butterfly, caves to early humans, and the womb to the origin of life.
These pieces form spaces that create a sense of intimacy. Their interior nourishes and provides seclusion and protection.
Each piece is individual yet all come together as one.
I have chosen clay as a medium. I like to show it in a natural way, creating forms with broken edges, opening holes, rough surfaces and printing different textures.
In this way I expect to attract the viewer.
I have lived travelling from country to country. Working with the clay, in each place, I created an intimacy that allows me to find my cocoon, my cave, and my refuge.
